I am writing this by the side of the pool on the beautiful island of Mallorca. It’s well and truly holiday season, so the perfect time to share with you what is in my holiday makeup bag.
I have packed this foundation as it feels so light on the skin. It is a ‘no fuss’ foundation with one pump providing enough coverage to even out my skin tone. It’s bursting with ingredients to suit my mature skin; a great combination of makeup and skincare.
I have also popped this in my holiday makeup bag, either to wear on it’s own, or over the top of the Inika Foundation. It leaves a beautiful, fresh glow to the skin. It’s perfect to take when travelling as the pot is lightweight and the spill proof packaging makes it ideal to use when you’re on the go. I have written a full review of this here.
This is my holiday makeup must have! It looks great worn on its own with a bit of a sun tan, or mixed in with your regular base to make it a shade darker. You can also use it as a liquid bronzer or to contour with. The list is endless! I have also written a full review of this here.
This is my current favourite highlighter. It has overtaken both RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer and Magic Luminizer. It leaves a gorgeous golden sheen to my cheekbones, nothing too obvious though. It’s something I use during the day as well as the evening. I like the texture, creamy, but it doesn’t end up slipping on my face.
This has been a great find for me. The fool proof way to add a pop of colour to your eyes. The copper shade will work with most eye colours and is the perfect way to update your makeup for summer. As well as using this to line my eyes, I also like to wear this as a cream shadow, blending over my entire lid.
I have been really impressed with PHB Ethical Beauty’s pressed mineral eye shadows. They are easy to apply, and blend well. I have found myself using my finger to dab a little on top of the Soul Tree Kajal. With so many shades to choose from, there’s something for everyone.
This Ere Perez Lipbar is great for those who want to wear a red lip, but without the maintenance. Made with rosehip oil, vitamin and an SPF15 this is the perfect choice for a summer lipstick. The subtle red shade makes it ideal for wearing during the day or evening.
The ideal way to add a little colour to your cheeks or lips. I love dabbing this on to the apples of my cheeks. The cream formula leaves a subtle hint of colour and is ideal to use when the weather hots up – just be careful not to let this get too hot as it will become too soft to use. This shade works beautifully on my lips too, adding some colour and keeping them hydrated.
Last, but not least, I had to add this nail polish from Kure Bazaar in the shade Or Rose. It is simply stunning and the perfect shade for summer. I have been wearing this on my fingers and toes and have had so many compliments!
