How to achieve a subtle contour with RMS beauty

Contouring has been a thing for a while now but often it’s overdone, it can sometimes appear quite obvious. You can achieve subtle contouring with an obvious difference to help enhance your bone structure.

In this article I will show you how to subtly contour your face using RMS beauty makeup. I used my fingers to blend all the make into the face. If you prefer using a brush you can use RMS skin2skin foundation brush which mimics the finger for a flawless finish.

Step 1. Using shades 000, 22 and 44 (I find these shades are perfect for blending into very light to medium skin tones). The best thing to do is to use the shade that matches your skin tone, a shade slightly lighter and a shade slightly darker.

Firstly section the face with each shade of the RMS “un” cover-up if you require concealer use the lightest shade for this it works wonderfully over blemishes, redness and scars.

Step 2. Gently dab the products into the skin starting with the lightest shades first working into the darkest shade.

Step 3. Add the contour bronze just below the cheek bone blending it upwards. You can also add a little to your nose for a sun kissed glow. If your skin is very pale you might wish to use the master mixer or the magic luminizer.

Step 4.Using either the magic luminizer or the living luminzer. Highlight the tops of your cheek bones, nose, brow bone and cupids bow they even work great on the eyelids.

Step 5. If your skin is more mature or dry this will offer the perfect finish. If you have oily skin you can use a light dusting of RMS “Un” powder over the final look. This will offer a slightly more matte finish if you prefer this look over a dewy finish.

I finished off this look by dabbing a little RMS eye polish in shade Lunar over the entire eyelids and added a pop of colour to the lips using RMS lip2cheek in shade Diabolique. The coverage you can achieve with the ‘un’ cover-up is incredible. What I love most about the RMS beauty collection is that all products are suitable for all skin types, even those prone to break outs. All products  can be used in many different ways they are so versatile the possibilities are endless. A little product really goes a long way, Rosie Marie Swift says ‘less is more’ and I definitely think you can achieve that with her products.

I really hope you enjoyed this make-up tutorial.

Wow this is fantastic, what a great way to use these products. I am tempted to try the concealer, as I have dark shadows under my eyes. I was worried the palest one would be too pale though – is that the one you’ve used down the centre of your nose? Thanks x

Hi Becky, RMS products are so versatile! Yes I used shade ‘000’ which is the lightest shade beneath Sophie’s eyes and down the centre of the nose. I personally use this shade for my dark circles and it works great, I am very light at the moment with yellow tones in my skin. If you have a warmer skin tone you may wish to purchase the shade ’00’ still light but slightly warmer! – Eloise x
